Cyanotype Photographic Workshop

  • Kelly's Garden 4915 South Campbell Avenue Chicago, IL 60632 United States (map)

Come join Joanna Aloysia and Kelly McKaig for a creative Sunday afternoon! In this workshop we will teach you the photographic process of cyanotyping. We will teach you how to mix these benign chemicals to make a photosensitive wash, sensitize the paper, how to make a photogram, and how to develop the image to get that amazing blue. After that, it’s all experimentation and hanging out in the sunshine.

This workshop will be mostly outdoors and will be a little messy, so plan for a day of playing with flowers, lightly splashing in water, and painting. We will be providing various objects to help you make a photogram: flowers, glass, feathers, leaves, paperclips, keys, safety pins, translucent fabric, lace, etc. Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Please bring your own:

Cost: $100/person with a max capacity of 8 guests
